As one of the first African American students to integrate Louisburg High School, she demonstrated early courage and civic awareness that has shaped her commitment to fairness and access.
Brodie-Newell holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Fayetteville State University and a Master’s degree as a Resource Specialist from Appalachian State University, and has dutifully served Franklin County for more than 25 years as an educator, community advocate, group home-owner and operator.
